 Developed by Care for the Family, the Money Secret Adult Education Course brings to life the debt-busting message of Rob Parsons’ book ‘The Money Secret’. Aim and Content The aim of the course is to help you feel more in control of your money, and to be better able to manage your finances. The sessions of the course cover: 1. Introduction - money, credit & debt 2. Where does the money go? 3. Shopping 4. Paying the bills 5. Borrowing During the course you will learn techniques and principles for managing your money, using a mixture of taught sessions, case studies and group work. There are no marks and no exams, but there is homework - applying the techniques and principles that you learn on the course to your own financial situation, using the Course Workbook. This is where the real value of the course lies. Make sure that you will be able to find the time for homework during the 5 weeks of the course! |

What you will need
Apart from time (and motivation!) you will need a calculator for doing simple additions. Or you could use the calculator function on your mobile phone. If you have a computer with internet access, so much the better – there’s lots of resources on line. See the section below on Useful Links.

What you don’t get
